I read this and best to disseminate it for others to read. "Parents, please warn your kids about this. I am forwarding this message from a concerned parent whose daughter almost fell into this trap: Please be FOREWARNED that there is a criminal syndicate out there victimizing unsuspecting young girls from exclusive schools via Facebook. I am taking this opportunity to share with you how they tried to lure my daughter into their trap. My daughter has a friend from way back in grade school. They have since parted ways and this friend is now a young international fashion model. Last Tuesday, this friend got in touch with my daughter thru Facebook and asked her if she was interested to model for a makeup artist's portfolio. She told my daughter this makeup artist is a friend and that the pictures would come out in Meg magazine. Being a fashion model herself, she told my daughter she would be there during the shoot to assist and guide her. Knowing her background, my daughter readily agreed. During the course of their conversation, her friend suggested they meet at McDonalds to meet up with the makeup artist -- let's call her Sarah -- then proceed to the studio for the shoot. She asked for my daughter's current cell no so that Sarah could coordinate with her. They also agreed that the shoot would be on Thursday morning at 9:30. She told my daughter she wouldn't need to bring her driver along to the studio. Sensing something was amiss during their Facebook conversation, my daughter decided to get in touch with her friend thru other means. When she got hold of her, my daughter was shocked to find out that her friend had moved abroad and that her Facebook account had been hacked and that she had been blocked from accessing her own account. They concluded that the person my daughter was conversing with on Facebook was an impostor. Confused and afraid, my daughter decided to tell only my wife. My wife, who happened to be out of town, just told her not to go. Come Wednesday, the impostor conversed with my daughter thru Facebook again. Pretending she was not yet aware of the truth, my daughter just played along. During their exchanges, the impostor was telling my daughter that she doesn't have to bring much and almost everything will be provided for. In the evening, Sarah, the supposed makeup artist, started texting my daughter about their scheduled meeting the next day, but my daughter never replied On the day of the supposed shoot, Sarah texted my daughter several times early in the morning to remind her of their appointment. At around 8:00 am, Sarah texted my daughter to tell her they were already there waiting for her. At around 8:30, Sarah started calling my daughter incessantly but she refused to answer. After around 40 missed calls, my daughter who was already scared and confused finally told me the whole story. I immediately looked at all their Facebook conversations and the text messages from Sarah. At the onset, I knew this was already a kidnapping attempt. My daughter who was already on the verge of tears begged me to find a way to immediately stop the harassment. I told her to pick up the phone the next time Sarah calls and inquire where her friend is. As expected, a few seconds later, Sarah called again. When my daughter finally picked up the phone, she asked Sarah where her friend was. Sarah told her that her friend was already there waiting. When my daughter revealed to Sarah that her friend is actually abroad, Sarah suddenly hung up, never to be heard again. I am fairly convinced that there are three possible scenarios to this: 1) a kidnap-for-ransom attempt, 2) they will take uncompromising pictures of my daughter to blackmail her for life, or 3) a kidnap-rape-slay attempt. We are currently investigating the incident including the phone no of Sarah. As of this writing, this impostor is trying to lure another common-friend of my daughter using the same modus operandi. We have already warned her of the danger. I hope you share this story with your children, especially your daughters The moral of the story is to please tell your children never to agree to meet a friend or friends ONLY thru social networking websites. Double check who they are actually conversing with by getting in touch with the person via phone or VOIP (i.e. - Skype, FaceTime, Viber, etc.). Furthermore, while conversing through social media, they should ask or talk about certain circumstances known only to both parties to ascertain their true identity. Unfortunately, most kids are too naive to realize the real danger posed by social media until it is too late. May this serve as a lesson and a guide for them. Lioele Haul from Online Store Owners/Dealers and from Physical Kiosks

Last week of May 10 2012, Thursday asked my big sis and bro with his family to please browse the Lioele kiosk since they were on their way at Robinson's Ermita. They had a prior appointment so might as well peek if they have time. It was extremely difficult to find the exact location inside the the mall according to siblings that made them so so hot headed that was such a letdown plus there is NO discount when they paid PHP 3000+ for the PRODUCTS and NO FREEBIES nor any sample of skin care/make up either..They told me it was near PEDRO GIL area/wing for goodness sake!!!!! Besides the fact my big sis didn't exactly find the sales people there to give ample information with the products.

The following day after work decided to go at ST. FRANCIS SQUARE--> May 11 2012 Friday. I was with my big sis and both of us barely noticed the kiosk as there were too many people in front of the elevator! Dangabit!! Despite of the challenges to find it had prolonged my patience to HUNT the PRECISE location, finally was able to browse and buy a few more items. Positive point is the sales ladies in charge there were MORE ACCOMMODATING AND KNOWLEDGEABLE in their line of work and plus point is had a DISCOUNT!!!!! :)

I definitely was happy being able to shop bit but my wallet was hungry by the time we left. Hu,hu,hur!!!!! It wasn't price friendly if don't have enough budget might as well save as much as you can to afford it. I suppose it is really congested in the Metro Manila area that can't see any boutique yet. I just read they did open up somewhere in Cavite which isn't accessible for the likes of myself. I still have yet to try these if my hard earned money is worth the trouble had gone through.

As you can see based on the photo just try to look for the kiosk of "House of Praise" They are practically neighbors. The door you see up ahead is where the bazaars are located. Don't go in there it such a frenzy sight to behold! It is somewhat near the Mercury Drug Store but for sure they aren't exactly neighbors. We got lost big time >____<

Farewells...

This month of May have been filled with several events. On the not so happy notes so far one of our household helper asked for a day off which gladly been approved. But then the next day sent a text message stating not going to come back anymore and left a lot of her stuff at home.She intends to pick up her things at a much latter date, duh! Now that I think nobody would like that it wasn't really a nice way to say good-bye at all. Only means I have to be with my mom when she goes to her check up at the hospital with the doctors and am busy with work as it is already. Bummer!!! On the happy notes though JM my cousin finally said bye-bye to single blessedness with his new loving wife and hope things work out smoothly for both of them. It was a really nice place to take photos wish it did't drizzle much though but everything is just so nice. Here is the link of their website just click on the link below to take you there directly. Then here comes Mother's Day had our tummies filled up with good old Spanish Paella Lechon De Leche at Alba Restaurante Español. The dishes mentioned before needs to be prepared at least a day before so best you plan it up ahead. Besides all the mothers who were present were given bags of goodies related to household chores and a Good House Keeping magazine. All thanks to the advertisement or was it an article.. my big sis read about which lead us to realize there is a nearby skin specialist. It pays to read after all even during the idle hours. Ha,ha,ha!! We both had the intention of having an assessment of our current skin condition and found out there is 50 % off on the treatment we were looking for! The big boo boo for us is that we both sneaked away from dad's radar. You might not believe but still in a relatively strict up-bring at home although am classified as adult. But anyways I had to call home and got quite an earful from dad but let us go with it since we were there. Didn't want to waste time since warts are unpleasant to look at or stared by people. Today also marks the funneral of our good friend and neighbor tita Betty. She passed away last May 16 2012 Wednesday morning during her sleep. We went to her wake late afternoon and attended the anticipated mass. As we approached her coffin it's as if she is only asleep not dead. I am still in shock and will miss her immense generosity to the point forgets her own personal needs. It is sad but life must go on. My mom might have also died last January this year due to her chest pains. It was good she was quickly rushed to the hospital & gone through the angioplasty surgery which saved her life and so must the constant check ups with the doctors. That's all for now by the way least I forget just want to say will surely miss the good old times spent with you tita Betty. God is with you now and so is Mama Mary. May you rest in peace with the angels singing heavenly songs.
